So there’s actually a series of books available (read: A tale of the wicked queen (snow white), poor unfortunate soul: As a disney fan and reader of all of valentino’s previous novels on the disney villains, i was looking forward to reading her take on the story of maleficent, who is one of my favourite villains.

Her first book, fairest of all: Valentino takes a small line from 101 dalmatians in which roger calls cruella anita’s “dearly devoted old schoolmate.” it’s from this small seed valentino grows a brilliant story and we see how the two were indeed very close as children and adolescents. The memoir styled book is a fantastic read (find our review here), and we sat down with serena to talk about cruella’s story.

Its saturday, and you know what that means, book review time! Especially early on in evil thing, i felt like cruella de vil was as likeable as lady mary from downton abbey. In it, readers get a first hand account of her life from none other than cruella herself.
